Troubleshooting FAQ

Quick answers to the most common issues. If your problem isn't here, ask in the Flow Telegram group — riders and the team answer fast — or email us for anything private.
BLE won't connect
Make sure your wheel is powered on and not already connected to another app (EUC World, WheelLog, Darknessbot). Wheels allow only one BLE connection at a time — disconnect from other apps first. Then toggle Bluetooth off and on in your phone's settings, force-close Flow, and reopen it. The app re-scans on launch.
My range looks wrong
Range estimates come from your vehicle profile (Settings → Vehicle Profiles). If the estimated range is too high or too low, check that the battery capacity (Wh) and practical range in your profile match your actual wheel. If your battery has degraded or you've done a charge-port upgrade, update the profile values. Elevation and riding speed also affect real-world range.
Group ride won't start
Going live requires an active internet connection — offline maps don't cover group ride broadcasting. Check that you have mobile data or Wi-Fi. Also confirm Location permission is granted for Flow (phone Settings → Apps → Flow → Permissions → Location → Allow all the time). If the session creates but riders can't join, have them check their connection too.
Voice nav is silent
Open Settings → Navigation → Voice Guidance and confirm it is toggled on. Then check your phone's media volume (not the ringer) — Flow's voice audio follows the media channel. If you're using Bluetooth headphones, make sure they're set as the active audio output in your phone's Bluetooth settings. Reconnecting the headphones can reset the audio routing.
No chargers showing on the map
Check Settings → Charger Filters — you may have all types toggled off. Also try zooming in; chargers only appear at certain zoom levels to avoid clutter. In genuinely sparse areas, the map will be empty. That's useful information: it means planning a detour or carrying an adapter for a non-standard source.
The charge radar looks sparse or all red
That's the radar being honest about a thin network, not a bug. When usable chargers are scarce, Flow shifts into Sparse Mode — it widens the search, surfaces RV hookups, 110V outlets, and community-submitted sources, and tints the backdrop amber or red to match. Red means nothing is in comfortable reach: plan a detour, carry an adapter, or top up before the next leg. See Reading the charge radar. If an area you know has chargers reads empty, pan away and back to force a refresh, and check your connection.
The Charge cockpit isn't detecting my charge
The cockpit is manual — it never auto-starts. Open the Charge tab and tap I'm charging after you plug in. If it's not showing a live charge rate, that's expected on some wheels: not every model reports trustworthy charging current over Bluetooth, so Flow shows a conservative percent-per-hour estimate instead of watts. Keep your phone near the wheel and connected over Bluetooth for the best reading. See Live charging & the Charge cockpit.
Route shows no charging stops
If your destination is within single-charge range, no stops are inserted — that's correct. If stops should be there, verify your vehicle profile is selected (Settings → Vehicle Profiles → make sure one is active). Check that battery capacity and range values are set correctly. An oversized range estimate can make Flow think you don't need a stop.
Location isn't working
Ensure Location permission is set to Allow all the time or While using the app (phone Settings → Apps → Flow → Permissions → Location). Check that your phone's GPS is enabled. GPS accuracy is best outdoors — indoors, position may jump or drift.
