Submitting & correcting chargers

On this page 5

Flow's charging network is only as good as its data — and riders make it better. If you find a great outlet that isn't on the map, or spot a charger that's wrong, you can fix it for everyone.

Why it matters

Flow pulls chargers from several public sources, but the best PEV charging knowledge lives with riders: the café that lets you plug in, the campground with an open NEMA 14-50, the "J1772" pin that turns out to be blocked. Every correction you submit sharpens routing for the whole community — better arrival-SOC estimates, fewer false gaps, more real options when the network is thin.

Submit a charger

When you find a usable source that isn't mapped:

  1. Sign in (submissions are tied to your account so we can track verification).
  2. Add the charger with its location and type — J1772, RV hookup (NEMA 14-50 / TT-30), or a 110V outlet.
  3. Include anything useful: access notes, whether it's free, hours, or "ask inside."

Your submission enters a review queue and appears for other riders once it's verified.

Track your submissions

View everything you've submitted and its status under Settings → My Submissions:

  • Pending — in the review queue.
  • Verified — approved and live on the map for everyone.
  • Rejected — couldn't be confirmed, or wasn't usable (see below).

Report a wrong or unusable charger

Found a charger that's mislocated, gone, or not actually usable by a PEV? Flag it. The most valuable corrections are:

  • DC-only sites — a station whose only connectors are DC fast (CCS, CHAdeMO, Supercharger). PEVs can't use these, so they shouldn't route you there. (A site that also has a J1772 is still usable — see Charging — what works for your PEV.)
  • Wrong location — a charger pinned in the wrong spot.
  • Gone or blocked — a charger that no longer exists or you can't actually reach.

For corrections that need a record, email info@pevra.org with the charger and what's wrong. For quick fixes and local knowledge, the Flow Telegram group is often fastest — post it and a rider or the team can act on it.
